Would you rather live in a area that suffers earthquakes or hurricanes?

Living in Florida my whole life I have seen my fair share of hurricanes over the years. My opinion may be a little biased but I would rather live in an area like Florida that suffers hurricanes like one a year than a place like somewhere in southeast asia or south america even that suffers from earthquakes. I have never experienced an earthquake myself nor do I want to. Knowing what I do about hurricanes and going through them first hand I know what to expect. I don’t want to take a chance and live in an area that can have bad earthquakes and fall victim potentially. When I was in middle school my school’s logo or mascot should you say was a hurricane actually. I’m very content with where I live and grew up, there are a lot of things to do and spend time. You can’t go wrong with the beaches or should I say “shore”, (I have never heard someone call the beach- the shore in FL). The New Jersey Coast line I want to say can be around three hours whereas Florida’s coast will take you around 8 hours from the Jacksonville area to key west. Earthquakes to me seem very scary to people.There is not that much of a heads up and if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, well that sucks. In terms of a hurricane you can have a week or more to prepare or if you decide to evacuate.
